I think it&#8217;s 50-70% beeswax, 20-40% lanolin, and up to 10% sandalwood oil. I think I will remelt some of that and use it as the beeswax and heavy oil part of the formulation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6g BTMS-50<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8g remelted moustache wax\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4-5.6g beeswax<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.6-3.2g lanolin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&lt;0.8g sandalwood oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5g mango butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8g light to medium oil &#8211; grapeseed, argan, almond<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 drops vitamin E oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 drops of essential oil (fir, rosemary, ..?)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Update: I melted down some of the moustache wax with olive oil in the microwave as a simple test. I found out that even with a much lower fraction of beeswax, I really don&#8217;t like this type of moustache\/beard balm. It&#8217;s not a very strong hold, but it is sticky enough that I really don&#8217;t want it on my hands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If I&#8217;m going to do a moustache\/beard balm, it has to be water soluble.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve decided I want to try this formulation with some substitutions.
